We are officially in the final month of the calendar year, and of this semester. We have about 13 1/2 days of school left before enjoying a nice, long, much-deserved Winter Break. Between now and then, we will continue covering Rates and Ratio Reasoning. These are a continuation of our previous chapter, Ratios. This week, we will review what we have learned so far, as well as introduce a few topics. Students will learn how to write ratios as percents, complete tables of equivalent ratios, and begin looking at real-world applications of unit rate problems. |
Students will get homework on Wednesday, December 3, which must be completed and turned in by Thursday, December 4 in order to take the quiz. I will be away from school on Friday to attend a departmental site visit at another middle school in our region, so students will have their quiz Thursday instead of Friday.
