It's finally here! The final week before a much-deserved two weeks off from school. Before I go too far into this post, I just want to say how proud I am of all the hard work the students have done this semester. I am truly blessed to teacher such a great group of students, and I look forward to continuing to teach them when we return in January.
This week, we will be tying up a few loose ends with our Rates/Ratio Reasoning unit. The students will do a review lesson and final quiz today to get one more shot at passing some of the more challenging objectives in this chapter. Tomorrow (Tuesday), I have a special video that I will be sharing with the students that showcases their work from this semester. Students will also take the performance task for this last unit for a chance at the 3.5 and 4.0 levels. Wednesday, students will complete a holiday themed webquest activity in the computer lab. Thursday, students will take a summative assessment over all the objectives we have covered this semester. This will help me check for retention on these skills over the last few months. Finally, on Friday, students have a busy half-day of assemblies and end of semester activities.
There is no homework this week due to the end of the semester. Have a wonderful holiday break! I look forward to hitting the ground running when we return next month!
